Josh and Rachelle's ~ #1

August 20th, i went on my first flight to Calgary to visit my oldest brother Josh, his wife Rachelle, and their two very adorable sons, Peter, and Timothy. Even though i didn't see the city and all, i did get a pretty nice sunset! :) (Sorry people! NO pictures! :(...)

I throughly enjoyed it though. :D And when i landed i was like SOO stoked to see my sister-in-law and brother! =D Rachelle, met me at the airport, we got some water, candy cough and then left for home. On the way, we had a really awesome talk (it was a needed one for me, because i haven't seen her for so long!).

That night, i was exhausted and fell asleep VERY fast! I then woke up to Peter talking the next morning. So i (really excited) hopped out of bed and went to see my nephews! :D

Peter right away showed me, his favourite thing to play with. A BIG blue ball!

The sunset that evening was very pretty :)

The next morning I woke to Peter knocking on my door. "Auntie 'von?"

I soon found out that beside bouncing on the big blue ball, Peter, loved taking off the couch cushions and jumping :P

anything soft Timothy puts his head on and cuddles, and of course Misty is very soft, so whenever he saw her he always lay on her :D

This is what Timothy does when he sees Misty. He starts gasping (seriously) grins, and crawls over and puts his head on her. :P

Later on, Peter kept trying to catch the butterflies. So i went inside and asked Rachelle if they had a butterfly net. She said no, they didn't but, her being so clever made one out of a bag, and some wire! So we went outside and it was actually quite funny, watching Peter running around saying, "Budderfly! Come here!" So after a while i asked him if i should catch one for him. So he said yes, and went to play with Misty, and a minute later i caught one!

Peter then wanted to go show mommy his butterfly, so we went inside to show Rachelle.

Now these butterfly's (i forget what their called) eat your cabbage (i think) so i didn't at all feel bad when i had the sudden want to take pictures of it. Of course though, you can't take a picture of a butterfly without it moving. So i started to poke it with a needle.

Peter: Auntie von. What you doing?

Me: I'm poking the butterfly with a needle!

Peter: Oh. Why?

At this point Rachelle looked at me, waiting for my reply to Peter, while i tried to figure out some way to gently tell my nephew that, auntie wanted some pictures, but it was okay, because the butterfly was bad. This is how my reply came out, "I'm trying to kill the butterfly so i can get some pictures!"

Yeah! That wasn't AT ALL what i meant to say. :-/

I was amazed that after like 5 pokes it was still alive. So after giving it a few more pokes Peter looks at me and says, "Auntie STOP!!"

Concerned that i upset him, i quickly put down the needle and wait for the butterfly to die. When it stopped moving Peter said, "Auntie. Budderfly dead?

Me: Yes, the butterfly is dead.

Peter: oh!

So now it being dead i took a few quick snapshots, then we went outside!!

That evening i piggy-backed Peter in his PJ's around Josh and Rachelle's place. It was so cute, he saw some flowers and wanted me to put him down, so i put him down and he started to pick the flowers. When i asked him who the flowers were for he said, "mommy!" Now is that cute, or what? <3

don't know why this one turned out to be so blurry, but its actually kind cool! Not what i meant to do though :P

Later, i took the boys on a walk (just along J&R's very long driveway) and Misty came along. She was walking ahead of us, when out of nowhere she jumps into the grass along the driveway and 3 seconds later she came out with a mouse. I was really impressed with her being able to hear, and pinpoint the exact location of the mouse! Isn't that amazing?

Peter was also very impressed and kept asking, "Auntie Von, Touch mouse?" :P

Peter was so cute. He would run ahead, then wait for me to catch up, then run ahead, then wait, again, then run ahead, etc. So cute! :P

um.......i REALLY don't know what this is, or what i was doing here!

on the way back to the house, i saw this HUGE grasshopper. Yes, he's a little.....squashed, but he's like SO big! I rarely see one this big, in BC!

GASP

Behind Josh and Rachelle's house, some one planted these trees right across from each other, and if you go between the trees and go to the very end, there's this VERY large tree. So i took Peter and Timothy down here, because last time i was here, i took Peter there and he really enjoyed it!

something that i've taught Peter is the thumbs. I say, "Peter, thumbs up!" And he smiles and does the thumbs up! Its so cute! :P

Timothy didn't really like me putting him down until Misty came, then he started gasping, smiling, and then put his head down on Misty, then it was all good :-P

i quickly took this picture then almost RAN! I only took the picture because the web, wasn't messed up, the background was beautiful, and the sun was perfect. But right after, i like ran!

One the way back, Peter found this big grassopper (not as big as the squashed one we saw but still...) and wanted to feed it to Cobra, Josh's tarantula!

isn't its chest (or WHATEVER its called hahaha) cool? I reminds me of an army vest. I don't know why, but it does :P

i put in the grasshopper quickly flipped down the lid, then stepped back (in case you haven't noticed, I DO NOT like spiders. I HATE them! shiver)

Peter thought it was SO cool, so i stayed only because he kept climbing up and down the desk by the rolling desk chair, and i didn't want him to fall.

So somber...............

The next day, it was fairly warm, so Rachelle put some water in a big rubber maid, and the boys were happily playing in it. Timothy looked quite warm, so me being concerned cough i put some water in his hair, and i was thinking, "Hey! since there's water already in his hair, i might as well have some fun and do something with it!" so i might have played with it a little bit. :P

But he didn't mind, so it was all good! =D

He eventually did, and threw her in the water, not once, not TWICE, but THREE TIMES!!! :D lol! After the third time, she FINALLY ran away from him whenever he tried to get her. You'd think that after the first time, she'd figure out that she shouldn't go near him!
